About Us
Founded in 2014
Neil is a consumer-centric mortgage professional and real estate broker for over 18 years in Palo Alto, CA. He serves as Commissioner-Chairman for the County of Santa Clara Consumer Affairs Committee since 2007. Since April 2014, he is also Founder & CEO at vreba, an online real estate selling agent catering to do-it-yourself home buyers & investors.
At vreba, Neil is responsible for enabling operational excellence across the company and building capabilities for vreba's future growth.
As Chief of Operations at University Investments, he oversees and is responsible for all company & client services. In addition, he is responsible for compliance for all loan officers and salaried employees. To date, University Investments has funded over five billion in residential and commercial real estate loans. Neil is responsible for maintaining company relationships with the nation's leading banks, lenders, mortgage investors, and secondary market affiliates Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. He provides technology and marketing direction in addition to extensive training guidelines for company & affiliate/contract underwriters. In 2007, Neil and his team implemented prudent lending practices, and product parameters, that shielded the company against repurchases. These measures protected the firm from the 2008 economic downturn. When hundreds of banks & lenders failed due to faulty lending practices, University Investments thrived. His breadth of mortgage product and guideline knowledge, across an array of mortgage offerings, make him a valuable asset to his clients, employees, and colleagues. More recently, Neil’s team implemented a secure cloud-based paperless process for University Investments personnel and clients.
